Busses OK But What About the Passengers?

Liberal Democrat ward councillor for South Werrington and North Gunthorpe, Darren Fower tells us he was disappointed to see no apparent effort at all had been made by the City Council, to make some local bus stop accessible to pedestrians, despite seemingly focussing on gritting all the main bus routes?
Commenting, Darren explained:
“Its was good to see that those roads used by the number 1 and 2 buses in this area had been gritted enabling the buses to continue, however, not one single bus stop that I trudged past had received any apparent effort to remove the snow and make them safer to stand at?
“One of the bus stops located at the bottom of the Old Lincoln Road, south of the Cock Inn, near the junction with the Werrington parkway (pictured) would have been completely inaccessible to people who rely upon mobility vehicles, wheelchairs or used a push chair etc?”
